Ethics in Biomedicine- Uppsala University

The research program Ethics in Biomedicine was established by the Vice-chancellor of Uppsala University in August 1998. The program has completed its first three years. Pending decision on the format of the continued research in this field, the program continues on an interim basis. The program is administratively associated with the Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences at Uppsala University.

Established in 1981, the Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) is the nation’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to improving human and animal health by promoting public understanding and support for the humane and responsible use of animals in medical and scientific research. FBR is the leading voice of scientific reason and medical progress in the ongoing, sometimes violent debate that surrounds animal research.
