 The research program Ethics in Biomedicine was established by the Vice-chancellor of Uppsala University in August 1998. The program has completed its first three years. Pending decision on the format of the continued research in this field, the program continues on an interim basis. The program is administratively associated with the Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences at Uppsala University.

The Exploratorium's Ethical Scenarios Forum (ETHEX) was an Internet listserv developed for the Exploratorium exhibition "Diving Into the Gene Pool" beginning in April, 1995.
